Rebecca Morris is an award-winning journalist who has worked in radio and television news in New York City; Portland, Oregon; and Seattle, Washington. Her reporting has appeared in The Seattle Times, The Oregonian, People, Entertainment Weekly, New York Newsday, American Theatre, and many other publications. She lives in Seattle.

 

A native of Corvallis, Oregon, her path crossed Ted Bundy's several times over the years.

 

She was a student at Oregon State University when Roberta Kathleen Parks disappeared from the campus in May, 1974. As a journalist in Portland and Seattle, Morris witnessed firsthand the search for the killer who at that time had one name, "Ted."

 

She has taught writing, journalism and playwriting at colleges and universities across the country, and speaks at writers conferences. Morris has a MA in Playwriting from Brown University, and a BA in Journalism from Seattle University.
